Our Name gate39 came from our first website, gate39.com—a webzine
on Japan that gate39MEDIA owns and still operates. We chose 'Gate' because we wanted to imply movement,
departure, and the thrill of heading somewhere new and exciting. The number '39' has a special
significance as the race car number owner Shane Stiles' family used in small track auto racing.
And when it came time to set up our company, we decided 'Media' is the term that best sums up our
development and consulting practice, as well as our family of Japan based websites.
Our Philosophy To develop web-based solutions and design materials that
are beneficial to our customers and to fully support our services and solutions – all at a fair price.
To partner with our customers to develop long, mutually beneficial relationships.
