In recent years, social media has become increasingly important for businesses providing platforms for marketing, customer acquisition, and engagement. It’s an undeniably good way to build a brand and show your audience what you’re all about. But social media is a non-stop engine that never sleeps. It can be daunting to jump onto different platforms, but participating isn’t enough. You want to make sure your social content is seen and getting engagements. It all comes down to how often to publish on social media.

They say timing is everything. So, here’s a quick overview of general best practices for how often you should publish on social media.
With chronological-based platforms like Twitter, the more you post, the better. But with algorithm-based platforms like LinkedIn, quality content beats frequency. This means too many posts can cannibalize performance. The best days to post on LinkedIn are Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
Also, keep in mind that most Facebook posts don’t do very well but continuing to post is important as it shows your business is active and Facebook ads have potentially great ROI. And, if you can, try and post at least 2 to 5 times a week. For more information on the best times to post to each social channel, check out our infographic .
